The St. Anne Centre Auxiliary is a talented, energetic, and passionate volunteer group made up of community people that fundraise to help St. Anne Centre continue to serve the citizens of Isle Madame, Louisdale, and adjacent villages.
The Auxiliary, in collaboration with the Board of Directors of St. Anne Centre, develops new ideas to support management in improving the quality of health care and comfort for nursing home residents and outpatient department clients.
Throughout the month of September, volunteer canvassers go door to door. The community's generous response enables the Auxiliary to purchase equipment for the outpatient department and the nursing home.
The St. Anne Centre Ladies Auxiliary Heliport is an example of a small group's outstanding efforts and what they can accomplish. The Auxiliary recognised the community's need for emergency medical evacuation by air ambulance and responded in collaboration with the Board of Directors of St. Anne Centre. The Auxiliary remained involved in the project's development and raised funds to see it through to completion. In order to attract both men and women, the Auxiliary has decided to change its name this year, no longer being the Ladies Auxiliary.
