Niagara Water Services is responsible for:
Providing a temporary water supply while installing new services.
Obtaining a plumbing permit.
Choosing the route for any new piping. The final piping decision for the new water service goes to the construction manager and not the sales representative.
Weather permitting, maintaining the normal working schedule of no more than seven full days from the start date.
Calling for a plumbing inspection before backfilling begins.
Backfilling, once an inspector has approved the plumbing.
Repairing, with concrete only, all holes created by Niagara Water Services in the house.
Balancing the water flow throughout the house by providing water-saving screens wherever required.
Confirming that the contract has been honored through a final test check.
Niagara Water Services is NOT responsible for:
Damage to trees, sod, plants, lawn, or garden.
Damage caused by backed-up drains, water leaks, or overflows while we are working to repair a problem or after the work is finished.
Installation or replacement of drywall, wallpaper, ceramic tile, wall panels, carpets, or paints deteriorated, destroyed, or dismantled in order to provide easier access to new water lines or drains.
Finishing the outside grade while the ground is frozen.
Any leaks from new piping installed by Niagara Water Services caused by water condensation.
Leaks on existing pipes that burst after we defrost them. It is, however, our responsibility to insulate our installed pipes from frost.
Temperature-controlled water.
Compensation for displaying our sign after the 90-day term or expiry date. It is the owner's responsibility to contact our office to pick up the sign after the contract expires.
Breakage of an electric snake during regular use, such as unplugging or cleaning a drain. In the event of snake breakage, the only way to remove it is through excavation, paid for by the client.
After removing the main building trap, if necessary, any back-up from street sewer gases or any smell resulting from such gases.
