Fortune Bridge Farms and Toby's Farm Market
On the Bay Fortune River in Prince Edward Island, Fortune Bridge Farms and Toby's Farm Market grow vegetables on over 100 acres. We start harvesting our crops in June and continue until November, selling them directly to island residents and markets off the island. Turnips are our primary crop; we grow them on more than 80 acres, harvest them by hand, store them, and sell them all year long. We select each one individually with the assistance of 8–10 hired local workers to assure a flawless output. Fortune Bridge Farms & Roadside Stand is owned and run by Crystal Burke-Cheverie and Trevor Cheverie. The farming legacy has been continued by Crystal, who was born into and reared by a farming family. Whether like it or not, Crystal turned Trevor to become a farmer despite coming from a family who fished for lobsters.
We work hard to provide good quality food at fair pricing because we're proud of the meals we serve and since our clients are our friends and neighbours. Additionally, we only market goods that we would eat off of ourselves. We value being close to home, so stop by and see what we have to offer! We appreciate your support of our small, family-run farm. Without an intermediary, our products are delivered straight from our farm to the market.
